I remember her from gil strang's linear algebra
cool ! ❤️
isnt he a comic book writer??
Same name, different person.
Great talk!
The kids with furry edges on their hoods have graduated as Bachelors of Science; those with plain white margins (no fur) are probably Masters of Mathematics. Boys are supposed to wear black suits (or highland dress) and white bow ties under the gown in Edinburgh.
Nice
👏

Two questions: Am I wrong to solve it by simply nothing that there's no fixed ratio between the semi circle sizes, and that as the area of the lower one tends to zero, the area of the upper one tends to half the orange circle? Second question. Maresfield, Lewes Priory?
math class here lol

Here for maths class
Reaching out: are you the Chris Sangwin that used to be our AD&D dungeon master when we were all at school?
amazing
first like. Grateful for this quality content. Thank you Will Reynolds.
ckn gaming ate pizza and pancakes. Great follow up video. So cool I ate pancakes with maple syrup afterwards. On a second note, this video was really good for professionals like me (yeah, I'm so professional, I watch ckn).
My Advice to anyone majoring in Pure or Applied Math, Just start studying REAL ANALYSIS IN ADVANCE, try to purchase a book of real analysis and it will be of great great help
Any book recommendations for doing this? I’m a pure math major and I plan on applying for PhD programs next semester. I want to take any steps I can to ensure I succeed. :)
maybe what Einstein was saying is a proof by contradiction that we don't understand everything or if we do we have jumped beyond something undecidable in human intelligence.
Interesting. I wish all the university around the world can share their learnings or a short clip of the school like this video.
Very encouraging video

India vs Mexico.... ua-cam.com/video/Q3a-bXXN9Xc/v-deo.html In theory....the old world might have pos developed ealry...the zero, but by fact the new world(independently) had an significant influence on colonial Europe. Especially on Spain and Itlaly. Was significant. Since it was already in America...like the 🍅 for Piazza. Sources say Asia or Indiana mesopothemia had the zero long ago... But What I'm trying to point out here...facts about the true System of the Zero not just the Variable. But the implications. The Mayas, had such a profound System of the Zero....their religion and numerous Cosmology theory of the cosmos were a direct influence to the ZERO. For...example the label... Black hole....was already invented by them...long ago. In many myths....(and evething shall gather back to the origin and compact). The mayan calendar. They played bloody games....similar to modern soccer(FUTBUL). Where...The goal gate was the black hole. They Belived in the Maya...contrary to Bible (White persuasion) mathematics....in which everything was MAYA...and Inllusion and that under this Complexity....chaos, disorderand violent universe emerged...(Chaotic mathematics).
What is a Cuban or Mexican? Their are 2 great traditions in Mexico. #1) The Nopal en la Frente. Cactus on the forehead. Pre-colonial natives. Becuase Mexcio is not Indian...Indians. #2) Pumkin on the forehead...modern pre colonial Mexicans. **************** Pumkin tradion stems from westerners. Look! #1) The PIRATES of the Caribbean are our fathers. They brought us the Spansh Metal Scale. That Dooms gothic culture.... Los jitanos. That Adams family culture. In contrast to the warm Saparano value culture. #1) The Mexcian(Pirate Hat). #2) The Indian Kilt...not Scottish. #3) The Long double braided Indian hair. #4) The famous Fernandes Arrow Indian V guitar. So many metal heads love. #5) The Spansh scale(Phrygian) the foundation of all demonic music....and the #6) Witchcraft math....about the zero.

Good afternoon, University of Edinburgh School of Maths. this is surprisingly vivid video. thank. :)
Turns out I've solved it correctly... Pretty interesting one.
Great talk about Mathematics and the world.

How we apply for Master in mathematics
Go on then, tell us.
check the website m8
it seems like they graduated from hogwarts
why am i watching this i cant even solve an equation

Bro Iam studying BSC stastics in India I want to continue my msc stastics in aboard .....could please help me
Bro I have same doubt if you know could you please tell me
@@lakshmi202 take data science
Know many math majors who already have jobs set up that don’t directly use math, but require complex problem solving skills. It’s a great degree!
Mathematics is beautiful more than girls because she doesn't cheat with us 🤣 🤣 🤣
Murda yrself my man
Ashutosh Meena what tf
We maths girls can say the same about cheating guys.

Looking forward to showing these to my S1 maths students at Tynecastle. They are very interested in real world application of maths.
Mam please help me am from Pakistan mathematics student.... I want study in this university
Send your application then
Studying abroad is very costly, unfortunately.
Too theoretical. Better do a masters in Finance and investment.
You don't really need a finance degree to work in finance. Any math heavy graduate with good programming skill can work in finance.
Maths degree alone will not prepare for real world. Need a Masters degree after in a work related topic. Finance for investment banking / investment management or real estate investment finance etc. Unless of course you were just a teacher.
False.
Really
This statement is misleading
The mathematics behind this puzzle is linear algebra over the field with two elements. Students of mathematics might try to generalize to squares of different sizes...
university is for losers only. I learn more mathematics in one week than if I participate in classes for two years MSc. When there are books so what's the point of lectures?!
True, i study mathematics, lectures are useless because of books
Clearly you're envious and broke so you cant afford, let alone get accepted to such a prestigous University. You're not Edinburgh material.... 😂
@@nrlombardi Actually he is not! He owns a company and makes pretty good money. He is considering to apply to a maths department where they do real maths, not the Edinburgh 1+1=2 mentality. Which is good for some people, agree on that.
@@mktsp2 epic second account :I
you must be deeply frustrated
This wasn't even mildly challenging , well at least for me anyway. When you have an intellect as great as mine, mathematical computations at this level are the equivalent of basic arithmetic for the lay person. My IQ has intimidated even my professors. For you see I am a Ricardo and Mortimer fan and therefore nothing can match my intellectual prowess.
I know, right?
a legend !!! bless me sir !!
he is an interesting man!
cool
i know the yankees like their bachelors but what is the situation in the brits? most students in europe gets masters, right?
most students in europe get masters....er, no.
pitchfork er, much more comparatively
Well only because most bachelor degrees are just a doorway to the master's degree. You're essentially nothing with a bachelor's in mathematics in Belgium.
Nick P I thought that was the case everywhere. I’m currently studying math in Belgium and prepared to have to have a masters to have a degree that is worth something.
